Counselor’s Corner: Social Emotional Supports at Home


We are doing it! Give yourself a pat on the back- living with uncertainty and change is no small task. Are things perfect? No, but we are all doing our best to show up each and every day and pour our hearts into supporting our Coe children, families, and staff. Our goals is


that every child feels safe and connected no matter if they are continuing with remote learning or if they in our new hybrid model.


Today I am offering a few ways to continue your Social Emotional Supports at home. The top two strategies that help children feel safe and connected are emotion regulation techniques and open communication that focuses on feeling and connection.
